Placing an Order

When you place an order to purchase a product from Electrical123.com, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product, for which we thank you, and which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we've despatched that product to you. Any products on the same order, which we have not confirmed in our e-mail confirmation to have been dispatched, do not form part of that contract.

For your protection, a contract will not be made if there is any legal reason why this is not possible e.g. attempted fraud, minimum age etc. Also, for your further protection, the information you provide will be subject to credit and fraud prevention checks.

Our prices are subject to change.

All goods and services are subject to availability.

This does not affect your Statutory Rights.

If the goods you have ordered are not available from stock we will contact you by email within 7 days and you will have the option to either wait until the goods are available from stock or cancel your order in accordance with our Cancellation & Returns Policy.

When making an order through the web site the technical steps you need to take to complete the order process are described under Order Process.

Order Process
To place an order with Electrical123.com just follow the procedure below:
1. Choose the product you would like to purchase and click on either the title or image to display more information.

2. Select your delivery by entering your postcode and clicking choose delivery date.
 
3. To add the Item to your basket Click the 'Buy Now' button.

4. If you have clicked 'Buy Now' you will see your item in the shopping basket. If you wish to change the quantity please retype the quantity in the Qty box and then click the 'Update' button. If you wish to delete any item click the clear basket icon from the remove column. You will then be asked to confirm this. If you wish to add more items to your basket click the 'Continue Shopping' link. When you have added all your items into your basket click on the 'Go to Checkout' button.

5. You are now on the first of three payment stages. Please enter your Name followed by your house number and post code then click on the 'Get Address' button. A screen will then be displayed with your address details if they are correct click the ‘select’ button.

6. You will now be asked to enter your telephone number and email address. Once all details are complete please read and accept the terms and conditions before clicking the 'Go to Payment' button.

7. You will now be asked to enter your payment details and choose your credit card type. Please check your order carefully and ensure that all the details entered are correct. Once you have checked these please click 'Go to Confirmation'. DO NOT CLICK ON THIS BUTTON IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE BOUND BY CONTRACT TO PAY FOR THE GOODS.
 
8. You will receive an acknowledgement email from us, acknowledging receipt of your order. THIS IS NOT AN ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR ORDER AND NO BINDING CONTRACT HAS BEEN MADE UNTIL THE GOODS ARE DESPATCHED.

Age of Consent

When placing an order you are declaring that you are the appropriate legal age to purchase the item and that the person accepting delivery of your order is aged 18 or over. If it is found that you are not legally entitled to order certain goods, we reserve the right to terminate all account facilities immediately, without notice, and we will not be obliged to complete the order. All deliveries will require a signature.

 

Customer Responsibility
Before you place your order please notify Electrical123.com of any special delivery instructions for example 2nd floor flat.

If you require your old appliance removing please make sure that cookers, dishwashers and washing machines etc, are disconnected, free of excess water and externally clean.

On delivery of your product please inspect the goods for damage and notify Electrical123.com within 2 days of delivery.

Delivery
Please note we deliver to mainland UK addresses and Isle of Wight only.
We aim to deliver your purchase within 7 working days from confirmation of acceptance of order subject to availability and unless otherwise stated by our customer service team. Please make sure that you are available on the day arranged for delivery, if no one is available to accept delivery when the carriers call, redelivery will be charged at the full amount.

Availability of goods
All products offered are subject to availability. If the product you have ordered is not available from stock, you will be contacted by email or telephone, if you have entered the relevant details, and you will have the option either to wait until the item is available or to cancel your order. A comparable product may be substituted in the event of a product being unavailable, pending customer agreement.

Delivery Charges

Home Laundry
Washing Machines, Washer-dryers, Tumble Dryers and Dishwashers
Delivery is Free of Charge (Saturday delivery is £9.99) and includes, if requested unpacking and siting your product with packaging removed.

If you would like us to take your old appliance away please tick the box beside 'OPTIONAL REMOVAL' on the product detail's page. There is a charge of £9.99 for removal. Please note laundry products can only be removed if disconnected and free of excess water.

If you would like us to disconnect your old appliance and connect your new appliance, please also tick the box beside 'CONNECTION SERVICE' on the product detail's page. There is a charge of £19.99 for the connection service. Please see 'Delivery Information' page for full details. Please note that due to stopping restrictions we are unable to offer our Connection Services for London Red Route addresses.

Liability on Home Laundry Connections

·          After 24 hrs we will not be liable for any leaks to the pipes.

·          If you ask us to install with existing pipes the seal may be worn. New machines come with a 1M water pipe; we will not be liable if you ask us to connect to an existing 2M length.

·          We are not liable for anything that is left in the old machine once it’s collected.

·          We are not liable for surges in power to appliances or any other related electrical problems.

·          We are not liable if the appliance has been moved after the connection has taken place.

 

Please note: We do not offer our connection service on Tumble Dryers.

 

Fridges, Freezers and Fridge/Freezers
Delivery is Free of Charge (Saturday delivery is £9.99) and includes, if requested, unpacking and siting your product with packaging removed.
If you would like us to take your old refrigeration appliance away please also tick the 'include in basket’ box on the product's detail page. There is a charge of £16.99 for removal. Please note refrigeration products can only be removed if disconnected, defrosted and free of excess water.
We do not offer a connection service for refrigeration appliances.

American Fridge Freezers
When purchasing your American Fridge/Freezer please ensure that you have measured the relevant doorways in your home to make sure that the product will fit through when delivered. Unfortunately if the delivery results in a failure due to this reason the full cost of the distribution will be charged to you.

Cookers
Delivery is Free of Charge (Saturday delivery is £9.99) and includes, if requested, unpacking and siting your product with packaging removed.
If you would like us to take your old appliance away please also tick the ‘include in basket’ box on the product's detail page. There is a charge of £16.99 for removal. Please note cookers can only be removed if disconnected and externally clean.
You can provide us with instructions for removal of your appliance before completion of your order in an area provided at the bottom of the page.
We do not offer a connection service for cooking appliances.

Built in Appliances
Delivery is Free of Charge (Saturday delivery is £9.99) and includes, if requested, unpacking and siting your product with packaging removed.
If you would like us to take your old built-in appliance away please tick the box beside 'OPTIONAL REMOVAL' on the product detail's page. There is a charge of £16.99 for removal.

Please note we can only remove your old built in appliances if they have been removed from their housing units.

We do not offer a connection service for Built in Appliances.

Televisions 37 inch and above. Delivery is Free of Charge (Saturday delivery is £9.99).  If you would like us to take your old TV away please  tick the box beside 'OPTIONAL REMOVAL' on the product detail's page. There is a charge of £16.99 for removal. Please ensure your old TV is unplugged and disconnected.

If you would like us to disconnect your old TV and connect your new one, please also tick the box beside 'CONNECTION SERVICE' on the product detail's page. There is a charge of £19.99 for the connection service. Please see 'Delivery Information' page for full details. Please note that due to stopping restrictions we are unable to offer our Connection Services for London Red Route addresses.

Liability on TV Connections

• We have no liability if the TV looses signal after the driver has left; please refer to Manufactures help line in manual.

Televisions up to 32"/ VCRs, TV/VCR Combination and DVD players
Unless specified otherwise a Television, VCR or DVD player will NOT or unpacked. Delivery is Free of Charge (Saturday delivery is £9.99). We do not offer a removal or connection service for these products.

Vacuum cleaners, Computing, Microwaves, Hostess Trolleys, Kitchen Appliances and Trouser Presses
Delivery is Free of Charge (Saturday delivery is £9.99).
Unfortunately, we are not able to remove your old items or offer our connection service for these products.

Prices and Payment
All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated. Delivery charge is not included in the price. Please see delivery section for charges. Prices quoted are correct at time of entering information. We reserve the right to change prices and specification of any item on the Web site at our discretion without prior notice or to withdraw any items at any time. We will not be liable to you or anyone else for withdrawing any items from the Web site or refusing to process an order. However, this will not affect any orders that have been accepted and therefore dispatched.

Payment can be made on the web site by MasterCard, Visa Credit Card and Delta Debit Card.

You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorize payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the refusal. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order. Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items.

We are not responsible for your card issuer or bank charging you as a result of our processing of your credit/debit card payment.

Prices that are reduced for sales and promotions are only valid for the specified period. The term 'normal price' is used to describe the retail-selling price of a product.

All customers must reside in mainland UK

All purchases will be limited to 5 items per customer in any 24 hour period.

Security
Credit/debit card details are encrypted to minimize the possibility of unauthorized access or disclosure. We accept orders only from Web browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, for example, 3.0 version or higher of Explorer and versions 3.02 or higher of Netscape. This means you cannot inadvertently place an order through an unsecured connection. Your complete credit card number is transferred to this secure machine across a proprietary one-way interface. This computer is not accessible by network or modem and the number is not stored anywhere else.

From time to time a notice may appear on your screen alerting you to the fact that you are moving from a secure server to one which is not secure. Do not be alarmed by this. The secure part is where we take personal details or your credit card details from you and is covered by our security guarantee.

Cancellation and Returns

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may cancel the contract or return your item(s) under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, within 7 working days from the date you received it for an exchange or refund. All monies including the delivery charge will be refunded if the goods are cancelled within the 7 day cooling off period. However the following points must be observed:

• Items must be returned in an unused condition with the original packaging if possible. Please ensure that the product is well packed so it does not get damaged on its return journey. The receipt or other valid proof of purchase must be returned with the unused item(s).
• Items are to be returned at your expense unless the item purchased was damaged or faulty when you received it. Please note that the amount charged for delivery of a product is a subsidised amount, the true cost of delivery will be charged for products returned within 7 days unless the product is faulty. (please refer to the Delivery section above for true distribution costs)
• All products are checked on return to our warehouse.  In the event of the product being used or an accessory is missing, a full refund will not be processed.  An example of the cost for accessories that will be charged back is as follows:
• Remote control                   £40 including VAT
• Instruction book/manual      £10 including VAT
• Washing machine pipes      £20 including VAT

To return the item, please contact us by email at sales@electrical123.com quoting your order number. We aim to respond to your e-mail enquiry within 1 working day of receipt.

Please note that the manufacturer endeavours to offer a free repair service for all products that develop a fault, not caused by accident, misuse or neglect, within the manufacturers guarantee period.

If the product develops more than three technical faults in the first year of the guarantee period an identical or comparable replacement will be offered if requested.

In the event that you want to return a product after the 7 day cooling off period we will credit your credit or debit card with the price of the goods within 30 days beginning with the day on which notice of cancellation was given, provided the item being returned is unused. If you do not return the goods within 21 days of your cancellation, we will make a charge in respect of the cost of recovering the goods. Please note that when purchasing a product the delivery charge is subsidised, the full cost of returning the product will be charged. If you do not return the goods or fail to make them available for collection within 30 days of your notice of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods, at which point a new purchase contract will be made and you will be charged for your order at the price set out on the web site. This does not affect your statutory rights.

As we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of returned goods we recommend that you obtain proof of posting. Please note that all goods should be returned with the original packaging if possible along with a receipt or other valid proof of purchase.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
