FAQS

1. What does ‘No VAT increase to pay’ mean?
On 1 January 2010 the government raised the VAT rate payable to 17.5% from 15%. We have decided not to pass this increase on to our customers by raising the price of our products to you. Instead we have paid the additional 2.5% VAT. Take advantage of this price hold now as we will not be able to sustain this in the longer term. We will continue to offer our products at competitive internet prices, well below the high street price.

2. What methods of payment can I use?

Electrical123 accepts most major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard and Delta.

3. Will you remove my old appliance?

Answer
We can remove your old TV (37" and above) laundry, built-in appliance or cooker if you request this when you place your order.  There is a charge of £9.99 for this service. Please note that we can only remove old products if they have been disconnected and are externally clean and free from water, in addition, built-in products must be removed from their housing units.

Gas cookers must only be disconnected by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

We are able to remove refrigeration products if you request this when placing your order. There is a charge of £16.99 for this service. Please note that we can only remove your old refrigeration appliance if it has been disconnected, defrosted and is externally clean and free from water.

Unfortunately we are unable to remove range cookers.

4. How long will my delivery take?

Answer
The time taken for delivery is upto you, when placing an order you will be asked to input your postcode a window showing all available delivery dates in orange will appear.

5. Can I order by phone?

Answer
If you would prefer to place your order by telephone please call our Sales Advisors on 0845 33 77 000. Our opening hours are 8.30am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday, and 9.00am to 5.30pm Saturday. Unfortunately we are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

6. How do you keep your prices so low?

Electrical123 buys its products direct from the manufacturer in large quantities, therefore reducing the cost. These savings are passed directly on to our customers ensuring the best possible price on all products.

7. I cannot find the product I want on the website, can you get it for me?

Answer
If you cannot find the product you are looking for on our website, please call one of our Sales Advisors on 0845 33 77 000 who will be happy to help you.  Alternatively email sales@electrical123.com

8. Can I have my product delivered to a different address?

Answer
You can tell us of a different delivery address at the time of order.  Please remember to let us know of any access problems with the delivery address such as a narrow road leading to the property or a flight of steps.

9. Is the website secure to put my credit card details on?

Answer
We understand the importance of security when entering your credit card details on the internet.  We use secure server software, which encrypts all your personal information and prevents it from being accessed or read by any third party.  You can check that you are in a secure area of our site by looking in the browser at the foot of the page where you will see a padlock symbol.  In addition you will see that our website address now starts https://


10. Do you deliver outside the UK?

Answer
At present we can only delivery to addresses in mainland UK and the Isle of Wight.
